The home of the righteous

Peter wrote in the last chapter of his second letter that, "we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness." This has me asking the question - if we aren't driven to live godly and righteous lives today, what makes us think that we would even be happy spending eternity in heaven - the home of righteousness?

You know, I've often wondered this. Very good question. Our lives here should be preparing us for that as our desires and actions are "transformed daily."

This is one of the things I love about your blog. This is a deceptively "simple" question that I'll bet most Christ-followers just don't think about.
