Put others before ourselves

As the Apostle Paul pointed out at the beginning of the 2nd chapter in his letter to the Christians in Philippi, the key ingredient to unity is humility. We must humble ourselves and, like Christ, die to our own rights and desires and put others before us.

By God’s grace, let’s shed the old selfish tendencies and be people who are motivated by loving God and loving people. In fact, let’s be people who don’t go to church looking for how we can be blessed; rather, let’s go to church looking for opportunities to bless others!

Amen! Greatness is in serving, not being served. :)

To expand on that last comment...anyone who reads this...to encourage you that we can serve others by giving them a little card or a word of encouragement at church...don't underestimate the little things!
Greatness definately is in blessing others and serving others...this is what Jesus did!

We are blessed when we bless others who are in need!
:) We can bless others with a scripture or a word of encouragement or praying for them! We should not always look at church or retreats as what we can get from them or out of them...but true blessing is in how we can bless the people there...
